Stanley Park Sports Complex

Stanley Park’s amenities include three ballfields, a dirt-track mountain bike park, new skate park, tennis and pickleball courts, a new basketball court (to be completed in Spring 2026) a playground, two picnic shelters, a grassy area for concerts and festivals as well access to the Lake Estes Trail. The park is currently undergoing a multi-year renovation in accordance with an approved master plan.

New Pickleball Courts

THE PICKLEBALL COURTS ARE OPEN!

(They are available for private rentals at $20/hour)

PICKLEBALLERS: We hope you are enjoying the new pickleball courts! Our installation contractors have given us some rules for keeping the courts in optimal condition.
1.  SHOVELING OF COURTS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED! Anything dragging across the court surface will cause damage. This includes snow shovels, chairs, coolers, etc.
2. COURTS ARE CLOSED DURING WET OR ICY CONDITIONS! This one is for your personal safety as well as preventing damage to the court surface.

RULES OF PLAY:
During Open Gym, there is a 2 hour limit per party
No holding courts or space during open gym, it is first come first served (you cannot set up and wait for you party to come 20 minutes later)

Ballfields

There are three ballfields at Stanley Park; one with stadium lights.

Field 1: Longs Peak

Field 2: Lumpy Ridge

Field 3: Mt. Olympus

Lawson Skatepark

The grand opening of the new skate park was a fantastic success! EVRPD Executive Director Tom Carosello, shared his satisfaction in seeing the grass-roots project evolve from an idea to reality, thanking the Board for their funding commitment and recognizing the hard work of EVRPD staff. Special thanks go out to Chris Layton, EVRPD Youth Rec Coordinator and Ian Spencer of Driftwood Tattoo Studio for event planning, along with support from Lithium 517, 303 Boards, Satellite Boardshop, and Bokeh Brand for their generous giveaways. Archer Chew and Boy Scout Troop 8 also received special recognition for crafting the monument sign dedicated to Barry Lawson, honoring his memory and contributions.

Picnic Shelters at Stanley Park

There are two picnic shelters at Stanley Park. Bluebird is a cozy, smaller shelter, with a stone fireplace at the end that is suitable for up to forty guests. Osprey is a larger shelter that can accommodate up to 150 guests. Both shelters are adjacent to the mountain bike and skate parks and close to the tennis and pickleball courts as well as the three ballfields and playground. Use of the grills is subject to any advisories or restrictions set forth by the Estes Valley Fire Department.

Mountain Bike Park

The Mountain Bike Park at Stanley Park is a dirt track for riders of all ages and abilities with ramps, bowls and some other stuff like the occasional angry elk.

Tennis Courts

We are proud of our new tennis courts at Stanley Park that were completed last year! We know you will agree that they are a vast improvement over the old versions. It’s great to see people of all ages out on the courts for a lesson, casual game or some serious competition.

Carolyn Fairbanks Dog Park

There are three areas for dogs at our dog park – smaller pups can enjoy their own area, while larger breeds can run and play together in the two fenced areas adjacent to the Fish Creek arm of Lake Estes. Dogs can access the water through the eastern enclosure for some big fun in the lake!

Stanley Park Playground

The Stanley Park Playground is a great place for kids to have some fun outside. There are slides, forts, rope walls, a zip line and swings! The playground is always open to the public; the Bluebird Shelter is adjacent and perfect for birthday parties and family reunions.
