Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance can I book a tee time?
Tee times can be booked up to:
- 7 days in advance for weekdays (online or by phone)
- 8–9 days in advance for weekends, but only by phone starting at 4 PM on the prior Friday
The tee sheet opens at the same time as the applicable Pro Shop hours. For groups larger than 20, please contact our Tournament Director, Aaron Tulley, to arrange advanced booking.
Can I play just 9 holes on the 18-hole course?
Yes, 9-hole tee times are allowed during specific time windows:
- 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM (depends on part of season)
- Anytime when the Lake Estes 9-Hole Course is closed (typically in early spring and during October)
Do you rent golf clubs?
Yes, we offer two types of rental clubs: We do require every golfer to have a set of clubs.
- Standard (Strata brand) – $30 per set
- Premium (Cleveland or Srixon) – Available in stiff or regular flex; men’s and women’s sets; right or left-handed
Do I need to reserve rental clubs?
- Standard clubs do not require a reservation
- Premium clubs must be reserved, which can be done when booking your tee time
When and where can I see elk on the golf course?
Elk are most commonly seen on the course in early spring and fall. During the summer, they typically migrate to Rocky Mountain National Park. Please observe elk only from paved paths and give them ample space while golfing.
Can I rent a golf cart just to see the elk?
No, cart rentals are only available to golfers.
Where is the Disc Golf Course located?
At the Lake Estes 9-Hole Course, located at 690 Big Thompson Ave.
Do I need a tee time for Disc Golf?
Tee times are recommended, though walk-ons are also welcome. Reservations for disc golf can only be made by phone and are available daily after 12 PM.
Can I rent a motorized cart for Disc Golf?
Yes, all amenities available to ball golfers—including carts—are also available to disc golfers.
Do you rent Disc Golf discs?
No, but we sell a wide selection of disc golf gear, including:
- Individual discs ($15–$30 each)
- Disc sets
- Disc bags
