Shooting Ranges
The Archery Range is located within the Outdoor Range at 970 Noel’s Draw Lane, HWY 34 (in the Big Thompson Canyon), 3.3 miles from Mall Road. A variety of bullseye and 3-D animal targets are provided. Bring your own archery equipment. Cost is $5 per person.

Estes Park’s Gun and Archery Ranges
The Estes Park Gun & Archery Club manages two gun ranges and an archery range for the Estes Valley Recreation and Park District that are open to the public on specific days and times. Full and part-time residents can join the Club for an annual fee upon completion of a criminal background check. More information can be found at www.epgunarchery.com.
Please note we can only accept cash and checks on public days. Firearms safety rules are strictly enforced and commands of the Range Safety Officer must be obeyed without question. Hearing and eye protection are required. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited before and during shooting activities.
Outdoor Range
970 Noel’s Draw Lane, HWY 34 (in the Big Thompson Canyon, 3.3 miles from Mall Road)
- Public days at the Outdoor Range are every Saturday, 9 a.m.–12 p.m., June through October.
- Bring your own archery equipment/firearms and ammunition. No shotguns allowed.
- Cost is $5 per person plus a small charge for targets if you don’t bring your own.
- Adults and children age 12 and up.
- No pets allowed.
Archery
A variety of bullseye and 3-D animal targets are provided. Bring your own archery equipment.
Pistol
The 25 yard pistol range has eight shooting positions. Bring your own firearms and ammunition. No shotgun shooting.
Rifle
The Outdoor Range consists of a 100-yard rifle range with six shooting positions, and a long rifle range that employs steel targets at 200 and 300 yards.
Indoor Range
The Indoor Range is located at 200 Community Drive in Estes Park. The range is 50’ long and has six shooting positions. Use is restricted to handguns (traditional pistol calibers) and small rimfire rifle calibers (e.g., .22 long rifle). Bring your own firearms and ammunition. Public days and times are 6:30–7:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays year-round, and 2–3 p.m. on Sundays from November through May. Cost is $5 per person plus a small charge for targets if you don’t bring your own. Open to ages 16 and older. The range is ventilated and HEPA filtered, but some lead dust may be present, so please no pregnant women. No eating or drinking inside the Indoor Range.
