SEASONAL GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE WORKER

Normal Working Hours:
Generally 5:30 A.M. to 10:30 P.M. or 7 A.M. to 12 Noon, depending upon daily work schedule. Some weekend and holiday work may be required.

Position Summary:
Under supervision of the Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor, the Seasonal Maintenance Worker is a non-exempt position under FLSA, responsible for executing and performing duties for the Estes Valley Recreation and Park District's Maintenance Department. Duties include general maintenance work on golf courses, parks, and trails. This position requires the ability to perform a variety of routine and skilled golf course maintenance activities.

Pay range: $9.00 to $11.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Limited recreation program benefits are included.

SEASONAL CAMPGROUNDS GUEST SERVICES

35 to 40 hours over 5 days per week, typically between the hours of 8 AM to 8 PM. Could include weekends and holidays during the summer season.

EVRPD is excited to be taking on the new management role of the Estes Park Campground at Mary's Lake and the Estes Park Campground at East Portal. We are looking for friendly individuals who would enjoy greeting, checking in, and assisting campground guests during their stay at our campgrounds. This position requires excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, a positive and hospitable disposition, computer proficiency, and the ability to multi-task in order to complete tasks effectively. The Guest Services Associate is responsible for managing reservations, providing information about the Campgrounds and the Estes Valley area, selling store merchandise and other goods, performing various reporting tasks, stocking the camp store, answering questions in person and over the phone, light cleaning, resolving guest issues, and most importantly, demonstrating dedication and willingness to provide outstanding customer service. Do you have a strong work ethic, enjoy working outdoors, and are looking for a position where you will learn a wide variety of new skills and work with a dynamic team? The EVRPD is currently assembling a summer staff of individuals who will maintain the Estes Park Campground at Mary's Lake and East Portal for the summer of 2015. This position will begin in mid-April and will end in mid-October.

This employment position requires the ability to perform a variety of routine and skilled maintenance, construction, custodial, and repair activities involving campground buildings, grounds, and equipment. No previous experience is required. Part-time positions may be available depending on staffing needs. Apply early as positions are limited. PARKS/TRAILS MAINTENANCE MANAGER 

Job Announcement Opening Date: 2/4/2015

Normal Working Hours:
7 AM to 3:30 PM (weekdays); 6 AM to 2:30 PM during peak summer hours with occasional weekend and evening hours.

Salary Range: $40,277 - $54,490 annually DOE; DOQ.

Benefits: 457 tax-deferred retirement plan, excellent health, dental, vision and life benefits, other benefits included.

The Parks/Trails Maintenance Manager position requires a minimum of three years' experience in sports fields and parks maintenance, trails maintenance, or a related field with a minimum of three years' experience in supervising outdoor maintenance teams. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major work in parks management, landscape architecture, recreation, natural resources, environmental science or similar field or a combination of experience and education required to perform the job effectively.

Must have a valid driver's license. CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or the ability to obtain these within 6 months upon hire. Pesticide applicator license, CPSI and/or CPRP certification, and related licenses or certifications are preferred. Appointment to the position is contingent upon successfully completing a physical examination, criminal background check, and urinalysis to screen for illegal or prohibited drug use.
