PROJECT MANAGER

Normal Working Hours:
Weekdays; 8 AM to 5 PM (40-hour week average); depending on project workload. Two-year position beginning January 1, 2015.

Position Summary: Under supervision of the Executive Director, the Project Manager is a non-exempt position under FLSA, responsible for assisting in the planning, administering, overseeing, performing, and evaluating post-flood related work and general projects for the EVRPD trails and parks system. This position requires specialization in project management, flood-related reporting/paperwork, knowledge and hands-on experience with projects involving earthwork, maintenance, and construction in riverbed and flood plain environments. Road, trail, park spaces, and concrete construction; knowledge of civil engineering, CDOT specifications, trail specifications, golf course best management practices, and general landscaping knowledge is preferred.

This position requires a minimum of three years' experience in trails and/or parks maintenance or a related field with a minimum of three years' experience in supervising outdoor maintenance teams. Preference given to individuals with an engineering or landscape architect background.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major work in parks management, landscape architecture, civil engineering, recreation, natural resources, environmental science or similar field; or a combination of experience and education required to perform the job effectively.

Selected applicant must have a valid driver's license. First Aid, CPR, and AED certification or the ability to obtain these within 6 months upon hire is necessary.

 CLERICAL SPECIALIST

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Accountant Specialist, the Clerical Specialist is a non-exempt position under FLSA, assists in the oversight and implementation of the Estes Valley Recreation and Park District (EVRPD) accounting, business and finance functions for EVRPD. This position requires specialized skill, knowledge and expertise in all accounting and finance functions and is responsible for daily, routine data entry through reporting to management and outside entities and preparation of financial statements. Assists in maintaining personnel and payroll records. This employee must possess excellent organizational, scheduling and budgeting skills.

This position requires a minimum of three years' experience in accounting function. Background in governmental accounting, FEMA procedures and policies, financial analysis, and payroll systems highly desirable.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major work in accounting or similar field; or a combination of experience and education required to perform the job effectively. Selected applicant must have a valid driver's license. First Aid, CPR, and AED certification or the ability to obtain these within 6 months upon hire is necessary.
