 THE YOUTH CENTER

The mission of the Estes Valley Youth Center is to provide a drop-in facility for 6th-12th graders where they can participate in various programs, use amenities, and interact with peers in a safe, clean, respectful, and encouraging environment while learning how to be responsible, respectful, positive, and helpful by following facility guidelines.The Youth Center is open Monday-Friday from 3:00pm-6:00pm during the school year and closed on school closures. Amenities include Wi-Fi, a pool table, the Music Center (keyboards, guitars, drums), Logitech Squeezebox Wi-Fi Music Player, Xbox, Xbox 360, Kinect, foosball, large screen T.V., computers, board games, arts and craft materials, school supplies, couches, vending machines, popcorn machine, sports equipment, a kitchen, and bathrooms.

 YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL (NEW)**

The Youth Advisory Council is available to all 8th-12th graders. YAC meets once a month and dinner is provided. Projects include Tobacco Free Larimer County/TobacNO Youth Coalition and other community and after school events that are created by the students, for the students.

  • Kick Butts Day; Wednesday, March 19, 2014
    Fight against tobacco and raise awareness about tobacco problems and encourage peers to be tobacco-free! Kick Butts Day s is a day of activism that empowers youth to stand out, speak up and seize control against Big Tobacco at more than 1,000 events planned by independent organizers across the US and around the world!

 TEEN ADVENTURE SERIES(NEW)**  (Teen Adventure Series Flier)

 Hyland Hills Park & Recreation District, Broomfield, Northglenn and Estes Valley team up together to offer this fabulous teen adventure series. This is an opportunity to explore new and exciting places outside of Estes, make new friends in the Denver-Metro area, and have loads of fun on these exciting adventures. All trips leave and return to the Estes Valley Youth Center.  Register at the EVRPD Administration office.

HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS GAME     Mar 29                        SAT      5pm-10pm
What a night of fun and excitement. The world famous Harlem Globetrotters have been thrilling families and millions of fans for 88 years. Grab your friends for a fun night.
Fee: $25 Resident/$30 Non-Resident            

 PAINTBALL  Apr 12         SAT          9:30AM-3PM
Join us as we head to Blitz Paintball. You will enjoy a FUN filled morning of paintball and lunch in the afternoon. Price includes 500 paintballs, rental, roll playing game and lunch.
Fee: $45 Resident/$50 Non-Resident

 HORSEBACK RIDING WITH STEAK DINNER              May 3              SAT      1:30pm-8:30pm
Join us as we head up to Sombrero Ranch in Estes Park for an awesome 2 ½ hour horseback ride that includes an authentic cowboy dinner. We will ride along the mountain trail, watching for elk, deer or coyotes. After an hour ride we will arrive at a roaring campfire, where we will enjoy potatoes, baked beans and steak for dinner. After dinner and checking out the beautiful scenery, our ride will continue back to the stables. Fee includes supervision, horseback riding, full dinner and transportation.
Fee: $65 Resident/$70 Non-Resident

RIVER RAFTING & SUBWAY LUNCH              Jun 10              TUE      7:30am-2:30pm
Head out with Clear Creek Rafting Company and enjoy a 1/3 day trip as you ride the waves in the Wild Wild West. Float past a historic waterwheel, drop over Castle Falls, paddle through Mountain Lion, then hold on tight for Mr. Twister. It’s the perfect introduction to whitewater! Participants need to wear swimsuit attire and appropriate footwear. Please bring a sack lunch. 
Fee: $50 Resident/$60 Non-Resident

 DAVE & BUSTERS AND ROCKIES GAME                   July 13             SUN     11am-5:30pm
Join us for a great day at the Ballpark. We will start off the afternoon with a lunch at Dave & Busters for the Eat and Play Combo. After our meal we will all enjoy a few rounds of games in the Arcade before we head to the ballpark to watch the Rockies take on the Minnesota Twins.
FEE: $50 Resident/$60 Non-Resident

 END OF SUMMER CAMPOUT!                                   Aug 2-3            SAT-SUN          9am-3pm
With summer winding down, it’s time to head out into nature for one final weekend hurrah! Join us on this overnight trip. We will be heading up Saturday morning to enjoy hiking, canoeing, climbing. The fun won’t end there as we will sing songs and make s’mores next to the campfire. We will be returning Sunday afternoon after breakfast and our morning activities!
Fee: $130 Resident/$140 Non-Resident
